When you first start Pilates there is such a lot of information to take in, which is why it is important to have at least 2 private sessions before commencing a matclass.As well as having an assessment, you will also be guided through the basic principles of Pilates including breathing, correct alignment and the proper recruitment of your postural muscles. Even if you are attending a regular matclass, having an occasional private session is helpful. It can help increase your understanding of the matwork. A 1:1 session offers you the chance to receive personal correction and attention to help you achieve correct movement patterns.
